Now comes the most important part of the Shipley Do-Nuts Customer Service team’s job, taking care of our guests. This can be the most fulfilling part of your day if you maintain the right attitude. No matter how good our food is, the way you interact with the customer will make the difference in whether they come back, how often they come back, and how many of their friends visit us as well. A friendly greeting, a smile, accurately filling their order, neatly bagging or boxing their order, including napkins, handling their money or credit card transaction properly, thanking them – all these things will help ensure we have happy customers and repeat business. On certain days, you might be responsible for a cash register during your shift. On other days, your primary function will be to fill orders and let someone else handle the cash register. Throughout the day, everyone is responsible for making sure coffee is made and fresh; keeping the Shipley Donuts display rack organized, filled and clean; keeping the lobby clean and safe; and cleaning the restroom. At the end of the shift, everyone pitches in to clean all equipment & surfaces, sweep and mop the floors.
